I was looking through the decription and noticed this for the first time:

NEVER USE DISH DETERGENT for washing your car. Use a capful of this polish instead. Although you will not have a foamy cleaning solution, dirt will be lifted from your vehicle’s surface.

Has anyone tried this? I was thinking about adding it to my wash bucket with my usual DG901. just curious if anyone else noticed and tried it.

Works very good adds a little more kick and lubricity.

No-no-no! I've heard of other members doing that, although it might work, you would be better using a DG901 by itself. Or add 1oz of Optimum No Rinse to DG soap if you have hard water.

I would think that using K-AIO as a car wash shampoo would just strip most or all of the existing wax protection on the vehicle.

I tried it a couple years back ... no foam, no lubrication, and left a film on the bucket that I presume was also on the car.

They are however correct in that dishwashing liquid should never be used in car care.

When people make the mistake of washing with dawn, they are doing it with the intention of stripping wax. So what would be the problem adding a little in your wash solution for prep?

As a regular addative I second onr. It helps to trap even the smaller dirt particles that normally won't sink to the grity guard itself. It also adds grreat lubrication and softens the water. It is not harmful to the finish or the lsp.

Dawn is highly alkaline and can over time dry out and harm rubber surrounds and weatherstripping. Its best to leave it in the kitchen.

I have been putting AIO in my stripping wax wash buckets. for over 5 yrs. never a problem. ## CITRUS WASH AND GLOSS will leave a film if not rinsed good.

that C G Wash will literally strip about every wax known to man also and likely dent a sealant. Strong stuff ...(smiles)

I used this method earlier today. I just added a capful of AIO in my wash bucket (which also had my regular Meguiar's car wash liquid). I did it because I wanted to add another layer Klasse Sealant Glaze. In my opinion, it did a good job cleaning. I didn't get many suds in the wash bucket though, even though I also used the normal amount of Meguiar's soap. But the paint did come out very clean, then I used the WOWO method for the SG (which has become the only method I'll ever use with it now). It's been about two months since I last added any SG but I just want to get through the hot months of summer before I do a full detail again.
