Hi all,

Let me start off by saying KC is one of my favorite brands, so I am a bit biased here.

Pol Star is the fabric/textile/leather cleaner from KCX. it has a dilution between 1:20 and 1:5 depending on soiling. . It works well on textiles, helps with odors, and cleans well. I like the dilution, and it doesn't overly foam with carpet cleaning. It does foam reasonably well when cleaning leather with a brush.

The big draw for me is the versatility of polstar. Leather, textiles, plastics, I use it on everything except glass inside my car. Its a fantastic interior cleaner. 15:1 dilution works really well for cleaning the dash/doors etc. Because its rated for so many surfaces, I don't have to worry about the leather/wood/metal inlays.

It lets me condense my lather, textile and interior cleaner into a single product. If you're like me with more products than places to put them, its a big plus.

This is the main thing that turns me off from it. I don’t have the patience to test 3 different dilutions on a single area, I just want 1 product to be able to handle everything on the interior without messing anything up.

I hate having to deal with a cleaner that isn’t up to the job because you just end up working harder the entire time.

I’m also not interested in having 3 separate bottles mixed up taking up all that space on my shelf or in my bag.

Thats completely fair. 95% of my use is maintenance, so i keep 15:1 in a bottle and make up a special batch if and when i need it.

Have you tried Meguiars D101 APC? If so how does it compare to this product?

Ive tried a few APCs. IMO this is a gentler cleaner. Its meant to be safe on sensitive materials, but still does a good job cleaning. I wouldn't expect it to replace APC, but that is purely my own opinion/speculation since i haven't tried them side by side.
