Hey Guys, this is a Kona Blue mustang that was a swirled up mess. After doing a test spot on the paint, I realized that I had to get a lot more aggressive than I expected. The swirls and scratches were pretty deep.

The paint on this mustang was hard as a rock. After trying several combinations of compounds and pads, I ended up using the new Wolfgang Uber Compound. For some panels I used the orange LC CCS pads and for some I had to step up to an Optimum Microfiber Cutting pad. I wasn’t excited to have to use such an aggressive compound but I was very shocked with the end result. It was very easy to use and it finished like a polish.

Since the car had a few really deep scratches left over in some spots, I decided to use the Chemical Guys Glossworkz Glaze to fill them in. This worked great and even brought out more of a smooth and glossy finish. Since I wanted great protection and a deep look, I decided to go with the Wolfgang Fuzion Wax. The paint has lots of flakes in it and this wax made them really pop. I highly recommend using Fuzion if your paint has flakes in it.

Overall I was very impressed with Wolfgang Uber Compound. It finished LSP ready but just to add more depth and gloss I used the Glossworkz Glaze which proved to be worth the additional step. Wolfgang Fuzion was the icing on the cake and made my kona blue mustang appear wet.

Love the flake in that paint! Nice job!

Nice work, mustang turned out really good.

Damn, that looks awesome!

My sister has a Kona Blue Mustang.... I may need to see what shape that paint is in.

Thanks for the comments guys. The car turned out great. Stay tuned for more reviews. I will be doing some quick How-To's also shortly.

awesome work! love the car and color too :xyxthumbs:

Great review Andre. Read this last week made me want to try the Uber Compound out. I used the it on my wife's 06 Mazda 3 this past weekend. Bought it new in 06, took it with us all around the country. The Uber Compound had the car looking as bright and smooth as the day I picked it up from the dealership.

Awesome job on the mustang. Ford has come out with some great Blue tones in the past 5 years...Kona, Grabber and Deep Impact. I love them all.

any pre glaze photos. I know that CG glaze fills alot

I did have a few really deep scratches that I knew the glaze would cover up but I also did it because I wanted a little extra depth and gloss effect which it did add.

Here's a picture after the Wolfgang Uber Compound. As You can see, it finishes like a polish. Amazing!
