How do you guys label your bottles so that chemicals won't wipe them away? I've been using permanent marker, but it keeps erasing, and I'm fed up with rewriting it.

Thankyou!

if you go to the sams club website type this Item#: 850559 in the search and it should show you if your nearest club has them in-stock...

Do you use a special kind of tape? I tried a label maker a while back and the labels just kept falling off the bottle after a little while.

The Brother P-Touch is great, but make sure that you are using the P-Touch laminated tapes for the bottles. They will get wet, and they will be destroyed if you don't.

I label EVERYTHING. :)

Great piece of information there! Thanku for mentioning that Purple Towel!
I love the pic too. I just got my order in of all those Tolco Sprayers and Bottles.

IIRC, the tape that comes inside the box with the machine is white laminate tape (not paper) which is the one i personally prefer. also, next to the machine on the rack they'll have a 3pk refill of the same one that comes with it. just to be sure, look at the package which will indicate the size and color..

I use the p-touch labels for the bottles and then use 3M's heavy duty clear shipping tape 2" wide and place this on top of the p-truck label, the 3m tape hold up very well

We use the same label maker and the laminated ones can last quite a while.

We have several kids water bottles labeled with their names for school and they have lasted well over a year even with being run through the dishwasher and/or being soaked in the sink.

I just print the products in bold large letters on my printer. Cut them to fit the bottles and then put shipping tape over them. Have served me well.

I use some Avery name tag to print on and then I have some clear printable labels that I cover them with.

I use a Sharpie, then tape over the writing with clear packing tape. Not glamorous, but effective.

I actually just bought some Avery 6-label address sheets for my bottles.
I put a logo and what it is on the bottle so I know exactly that it is... even add the dilution ratio to it.
If a 6-panel page is too large, you could try 12-panel size address label.
I have a color laser printer, so I can do this without worry of ink bleeding.

I have a P-Touch and have had success with the laminated tape. Prior to that, I bought some 1" vinyl stick-on letters from Office Depot. They've been on bottles for 5-6 years and have been holding up well. Thanks to all the abbreviations I've learned here, things like APC, OPC, M07, UWW etc., don't use up a lot of letters. I posted pics on a previous thread, but they're now in photobucket jail. Always, always, always clean bottles with straight IPA before labeling.
