I took on a challenge on a severely neglected Lambo. The person used it for his track car and I must admit it was abused. IMO I do not think it has ever been detailed properly.
The owner asked if I could detail his ride and I accepted. There was a severe key scratch (you can get your fingernails in the scratch). I let him know that I could not do a 100 percent; correction but cover quite a bit. He indicated it would cost a couple of thousand just to repair and paint.
The front end had racing decals imbedded in his paint. Basically this car was abused pretty bad. Neglected is just being nice. Worse for sure.
So the products that I used:
Flex 3401 w/6.5" Orange, White, Red and Gold Lake Country Hybrid Pads.
Pinnacle RW/w carnauba for wash and clay lube
Nanoskin Blue 6" disc
Menzerna FG400
Menzerna SF4500
Menzerna Powerlock
Sonax Carnauba Paste Wax.
Red and Gold LC foam applicators.
Wets sand: 1500 Grit, 2000 Grit and 2500 Grit
Total hours about 8 - 9. The key scratch was the main issue. The photos are difficult to see, however, the jerk that scratched it actually dented the 1/4 panel and I could see the paint ripped pretty (through CC in 2 places from what I could tell) bad from the key. The photos that I took really does not show what I was talking about. But at least you guys can get an idea.
I let the owner know I could repair it but I was concerned about ruining the CC. I would do my best. IMO, after I was done you can see the start of CC failure. I stopped and sealed and waxed the crud out of that 1/4 panel. This Lambo had swirls galore! I hope you guys like.
I have before and after photos. I have a bunch but will show some as I do not want to bore you guys.
The last photo you can see the 2 spots of the beginning of CC failure. I wish there were better photos of the before but I am not a photographer.
Have an awesome day!!!!
