I just got my car back from the shop. $3500 worth of fixin'
I washed the car and then sprayed some Pinnacle Souveran wax booster and then felt the paint. It felt like sandpaper, so I re-read the directions on the spray wax thinking I did something wrong, then I tried again... still like sandpaper.

I busted out some Ricardo clay and went at it..... it felt like it was overspray. I then realized that they must of parked my car outside the entire week while they were working on it. The shop is right next to John Wayne airport.....

Anyways heres the process and results....

CG Wash w Foam Cannon
CG Synthetic QD as clay lube
Ricardo Clay
CG EZ Creme Glaze

Plexus
Stoners IG

303 Protectant
Klasse AIO (wheels)
AW (wheels)

NXT metal Polish

AWESOME! Cant wait until my package comes!!!

absolutely stunning!
gosh that is one heck of a shade of blue - absolutely gorgeous!
fantastic work there too! I guess where they parked it did nt really matter in the end!
What was wrong with it for so much moola?

Inspection 2
Shifter Bushings needs replacement
Sun Roof Glider broken
Rear subframe cracked
Tower Strut bar broken
Broken Cat (replaced under BMW warranty, saved me 2K. Yes its 2K for the cat)

Very nice looking car man.. My favorite color M3... Thats too bad they left it outside all week..

Good lord that paint is deep!!! I REALLY like that color...course it helps that it is well maintained. NICE!!

So you didn't top EZ creame glaze with anything? That first pic is awesome by the way, it looks like your car is covered in some kind of candy coating. Reminds me of hard candy. Now polish that area behind the rear plates ;) .

rear subframe cracked??? jeeze, any single event cause this or did it just happen over time?

btw I dont think ive seen any picture of your car on this site where it didnt look absolutely GLEAMING! Those are CSL wheels right?
Check out my friend's M3 in my sig link...

Hey nice job! Too bad the new M3 doesn't come in Laguna Seca :(.

Looks great, I agree, I really like the wet look you got. Love that blue colour and you maintain it so well. Vehicle looks great.

Thank's for sharing.

klumzypinoy: Yep, otherwise this baby would be LONG GONE!

dontsleeponit: Its an issue they have with E46 M3's Fix is about $1700, or you can wait until the entire rear end falls out and claim it through insurance $4000, These are actually ZCP wheels, the CSL wheels are .5 wider in the front. But these are OEMs not replicas. I love ur GTO, one of the only American sports cars I actually like!

2KLS1: Yea nothing else just EZ, I didnt have time. I was just going to wash and use Pinnacle Booster (for the 1st time) but when I sprayed it, thats when I found the contaminants. And so I didnt have time to polish behind the plate either :D

Beautiful car man. seriously.. Everytime the wife is around and I'm browsing through a thread with your car in it, I have to shut the laptop real quick so she doesn't see it. She'd have to have it.

She probably thinks I'm looking at something I shouldn't be looking at, but in reality its just something I dont want her looking at :D

Fminus, your car is beautiful....love the color. Your sig is deceiving, these pics show the real deal. I doubt that the "sandpaper" you felt was airplane exhaust. Being at a repair shop for a week it probably got some overspray of some type on the paint. Do they do body work there as well? If not, then it probably was something from the planes......

You should change your sig to this pic:

EZ Creme Glaze is some good stuff;)

What dressing did you use on the tires? 303? Looks glossy to be 303. Sorry, I'm a dressing junkie:p

dengood1: They dont do paint, Im sure its among other things besides plane exhaust! I just might change the avatar, whats the biggest size you can have it at? I used CG Tireshine.

matteo86: You can probably get a used M3 now on the market with high mileage a lot cheaper than you think, especially with the new ones coming out, but be careful since they cost a lot to repair and maintain. ($1400 for 60K maint!!!, $1800 brakes all around!)

gary26: Chemcial guys

DantheMan: I wish my wife was like that, she says "oooo nooooo, when she sees me on an auto manufactuer's site or on auto trader! Cars are my obsession before detailing was. I had 7 cars at one time and I sort of agreed to consolidate.... Now we have 3 :(

I just changed my avatar, it doesnt look that good...

Not only is the M3 my favorite BMW car, but so it's the color. I love the Laguna Seca Blue. It looks awesome!
