Lake Country sent me a handful of their new 6 and 7 inch HD Orbital Pads to test out. There has been a lot of interest in these pads and for good reason - they're fantastic.

DITTO! :dblthumb2:

Especially as Rupes pads are the same price. Just wondering why I'd change, knowing how well they perform. OTOH, if a competing product had near or equal performance and was more cost effective then THAT would be a reason to change. ;)

I can't wait any longer. I know I'm not the only one wondering so I'll ask the question. How will these pads work on a Flex 3401? They look so good and dense, I also like the shape.

Someone has to be the resident dummy, so I volunteer.

I believe David from LC did some testing on the 3401 and said they performed well.

I have to agree, I was expecting these to be a few dollars less than Rupes. Price being the same I'll stick with the Rupes pads for my Rupes polishers.

That's my thoughts for sure.

I mean yes, we all know how good of a pad Lake Country provides. But, if you REALLY want to carve out a slice of the market place for a fairly niche product (Rupes buffers) then the one main factor you need to concentrate on would be to separate yourself based on price. Something along the lines 1/$9.95 or 2/$17.95 and you would INSTANTLY have (IMO) a SIZEABLE slice of that pie!

If they work as well as "rzatch" review, it may be worth the price.

Got to use the the red and orange HD pads on a curved panel. It seems to rotate better on curve panels because the actual foam is so thin and the rubber backing is real stiff. The stiff backing gives the Rupes the need traction to spin in curved areas. It's a real well built pad!

Seeing as I don't 'need' any pads right now, I'm going to hold off. At $9.99 each though I would take a dozen or so. :)

Any thoughts or ideas or, better yet, experience with how these pads might behave with a rotary? The concept of these pads looks great to me as a rotary user.

Sign me up with they have bundles, but being more expensive pad for pad I'll stick with the few Rupes pads I have. I agree with CardDaddy on that.
