I received my order of Langka, and went to work removing the yellow road paint from the front passenger door. I've tried using clay, but barely put a dent in the problem. Well, the main problem is that the paint has been on my SUV for several months now. :o
Blob Eliminator removed all the yellow paint. Several spots that look like rock chips, were areas where the paint chipped off with the Yellow paint. Guess those areas were really etched in deep. I'll fix those areas with the Paint Repair kit. Once I get that done, I'll post and give my opinion of what I think of it. As for the Blob Eliminator, IT DID IT'S JOB.

Yes, I did. I bought the whole Chip Repair Kit from AG. I have some chips and scratches I want to take care of. But first of all, I wanted to get rid of that nasty Yellow road paint splatter that happened several months ago. Back then I didn't know much about detailing etc. Just tried washing it off!! I know. Duh!! I thought the only way then, was to have it removed and the door painted by a pro. Couple of months ago, I read on another forum (Meguiars or Mothers) about removing road paint by claying, or using a plastic razor blade, or the Blob Eliminator. That's how I found this website/forum. Clay didn't work for me. I wasn't going to use a blade on my SUV, so the Blob Eliminator was the choice.

I tried using the Blob eliminator for scratch repairs and I failed miserably. The product is proably good, I just could never get the hang of it. I ended up removing all the paint I applied.

So what did you end up using for scratch repair? I've read about the PaintScratch pens and Autovisual pens, also Touchup123. Thought I'd give the Langka a go, and see if it would work for me.

I ended up getting someone to do it for me. Give the Lanka a go and let us know how it works. I found the company to be very good. I sent an email to them with a question and they responded quickly with good advice.

UPDATE

Finished the repair of the right/front door panel which was splattered with yellow road paint and removed with Blob eliminator. It left several chips which is seen on the last picture, above. Here are the finish repair pics.

Scratch repair done on left/rear panel. This was a wide scratch and a small dent. Slight difference in color from touch-up paint can be seen (lighter). Light catches in certain angles on that raised edge of the dent.

Viewing the Langka CD helped me. I didn't have a problem with the paint pulling out of the chip. I waited almost 3 hours before removing the "blob". I used the "squeegie method" on that scratch. My first attempt was to carefully paint it over with the supplied microbrush. When I tried to remove it later, it left tiny little holes in the paint, over the scratch. I redid it using the squeegie method. It was alot easier working on the chips. Took alot of rubbing with the Blob eliminator to remove the "blob". I was working outdoors (no garage), but the fumes from the Blob eliminator were making me a little dizzy. I don't drink, but I definitely killed some brain cells this weekend. :D Overall, I think it did a decent job. I'm happy. Probably could've been done better by someone with more experience. But I barely notice the scratch now, unless I look closely.
Probably could've done the same job with auto lacquer thinner, credit card and a cotton cloth? I don't know.
I noticed I was having more problems wiping the Blob eliminator off the vehicle, after the job was complete. Used QD also, but still left a little white haze when it dried. Did the best I could to remove it all. Applied the paint sealant (supplied) after that. I'm sure a wash and wax will clear it all up.
Sorry such a long post.

well im placing an order today from ag for the lanka, i hope it helps with the rock chips i got
