As you all mechanics in workshops use gloves. These gloves made up of Latex from plants. Its of good quality and easy to wear on hand.I use Norm fest Poly. Its a good company and i used their gloves from about 4.5 year ago.It helps me a lot.i like it.

FWIW, many detailers wear nitrile gloves; latex gloves are now less common because some people are allergic to substances in natural latex rubber.

You can also develop a latex allergy over many years of using latex products.

It happens to Nurses

Nitrile is slightly more expensive, but much more durable and thus better suited to detailing.

The latex are wimpy but you do get a better feel. Nitirle is much tougher and protect better. Latex normally have a powder in them that dry out your hands. Latex stretch but Nitrile don't stretch much and are more difficult to put on if you have meaty hands. It's fun to see how much sweat they hold.

I've never found the need to wear gloves other than in the freezing cold.....I wasn't detailing, just wanted warm hands.

Safety Reminder:
Latex is damaged by oil-based lubricants.

Safety first. Use a little hand cream before putting on the gloves. This will help keep your hands moisturized. I found that mf towels not only remove water, but continued use will remove moisture from your hands. Resulting in cracked skin, etc.

As a mechanic myself, I use Nitrile gloves during winter months, because washing your hands whenits 30 degrees just sucks.

In summer....it's too hot. I may get 20 minutes before i rip them off. Talk about prune hands!!
