A search of the forums turned up a link with some advice. However Mike I wasn't sure if you could lend any extra advice as the post was almost three years old.

I've just had one of my regular customers call and say that had latex paint splattered onto their truck. The latex color is beige and the trucks color is white. I've heard many ideas including strickly washing, claying , and even goo gone. I'm going to survey the situation at five today but didn't know if you had an advice. I appreciate it if you do. Thanks in advance.

Wow that looks like it works amazing. Unfortunately I don't have any of that product but would definately like to add it to my arsenal. I'll just have to hope the customer doesn't mind waiting while I place the order.

Might check out their website as I think they have a dedicated product for Latex paint

Thanks Mike. Their website led me to Lowes where I found a bottle of the latex remover. I'm not sure how well it's going to work so I may also purchase OPC as well. The things I'm worried most about are the amount of paint on the truck ( It has splatters everywhere, literally ) and the fact that it's been baking in the sun. I'm hoping between the two products and some clay baring I can get it clean.

So here's my next question. Considering the truck is covered in the paint all over will the two bottles be enough if I purchased the 17 oz OPC ? I'd hate to get there and not be able to finish the job properly.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it being too hard to get off. And APC and a strong jet of water should clean it right off.

Might as well go for the gallon. You're getting 7.5 times the amount of product for a little over 3 times the price. It's a great APC and you'll definitely want to have some on hand in the future! :props:

I did a truck last summer that ran through fresh road striping paint, both wheel wells and the passenger side was pretty covered. Since it's some sort of epoxy I'm guessing, nothing I tried would being to break it down, and I even did a test spot with Lacquer Thinner. I ended up using a pressure washer for a long time in the wheel wells, it worked, but it was slow. I used a plastic razor blade with goo-gone to bascially scrape the paint off or break it from the paint. It took a lot of patience, but it worked. I polished the side I removed the paint from and you couldn't tell it was ever on there.

Tarminator can get off the yellow road paint.
