I've got a PC 7424XP with 3.5" & 5" backing plate & 4" and 6.5" pads.
The 4" pads seem a little too large to do below the doors, the very front of the car, and the areas between rear door & rear window, and I was thinking a 3" pad (and 3" backing plate) might work.
AG's Web Page
Porter Cable 7424 Backing Plates- Dual Action Hook & Loop backing plate for your porter cable 7424, The best backing plates for the Porter Cable 7424
says a LC-43-073DA Dual Action 3 Inch Flexible Backing Plate can be used with a Griot's Garage Professional Random Orbital 3 Inch Polisher.
Can I use the 3" plate with m PC7424XP with 3" LC pads? I'm assuming yes, but the webpage was a bit ambiguous.
