These pads suck< i must have gotten the bad batch. Dwayne replaced a yellow pad a week ago, now my orange pad failed. I'm affraid to use my rest of my flat pads, all I have is a PC 7424XP. I guess they get hot and seperated. My CCS pads are holding up, to my work, just not the flat pads. I will call Dwayne to see if I can send these other back for CCS pads, I can't afford to have anoter fail while doing a paint correction.

LC flat pads- Thumbs down.

I have tons of them over 3 years old that still work fine. I would attribute it to a bad batch. Also might one to try more than a couple before you say a product sucks...not really fair...

I agree... Flat pads are awesome. Especially for the price, i think they are awesome! I have noticed one thing tough, for some reason, they get hotter with my DA than my rotary. I dont know why this happens and some of you might think im crazy but they run cooler on my makita. IMO. But yes, give them a shot more further before you bash em.

FYI I had a bunch of backings come off some CCS pads so don't go thinking its just the flat pads ;) AG replaced them with no issues and since then I have only had one fall apart. LC must have had some bad glue or something.

Sorry just frustrated, I guess I did get a bad batch. My CCS pads a awesome, so I switched up with the flat pads. I guess I should not changed a good thing that works. I got a couple more orange, and white pads, so I will give them a try.

In my experience with LC pads I have had a lot of failures but have come to realize that the failures only occur when either the pad is still damp from cleaning or when the pad becomes so saturated with product that the glue becomes wet with product, add heat from DA polishing and "BAM" the velcro lets loose. The answer to this problem is to buy more pads and only use one pad per few panels and then replace with a clean, fully dried one.

I used to bang my head against the wall on this issue as well but out of necessity comes the willingness to change our approach. I no longer think that LC pads suck, I was just not doing what was necessary to get the best life from the pad. Problem fixed.

Perhaps you did get a bad batch. I have no prob with the flat pads, and I only use one orange/white/grey pad per step, keeping it clean with Mike P's on-the-fly cleaning technique. I typically clean the pad every two panels or so.

I agree with Dave. You really shouldn't be using a pad for more than a couple panels. The more crap builds up in it the less it cuts anyway...so change those pads! I have tons of pads on hand just for that reason. Way easier than having to stop and clean pads in the middle of a detail.

I agree with both Dave and Mike. If you aren't gonna keep the pad clean, replace it.

Pads are cleaned on the fly with Mike's technique, pads are dry, and correct amount of product on the pad. I think I got a bad batch.
