Any real difference between the 2? Used for different situations?

Thanks,
Howard

You use the blue pad - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You use the red pad - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes... Wait, I'm thinking of The Matrix...

But seriously...

The blue pad is a little bit firmer, I use it for sealants. The red pad is meant to be more of a LSP pad, I use it for paste waxes like BlackICE. It also turns to mush if you leave it in APC+ overnight...

I really don't think it matters all that much which pad you use. Either should work just fine.

I asked the same question awhile ago... it is a question of personal preference moreso than benefit/tradeoff.

The red one is also better for jeweling than the blue one would be since its softer.

A good example of where having both the blue and red pads, in addition to a gray pad, is beneficial is with a multiple step finishing / LSP process. The idea is you want to go softer with each additional step. For example, applying finishing glaze (gray), then a liquid sealant (blue), then topping with a wax (red).

If you aren't doing that, save yourself some money and just get a red pad.

...or Jefferson Airplane.

I believe I've seen Junkman use the blue with #9 Swirl Remover.

The Junkman does alot of things...some unorthodox. I'm suprised people know about him on AGO. He is pretty popular....and he keeps it simple for a lot of people. Great guy

After the first few words, I saw where that was going and started to LoL! :haha:

I love people on AG here.

I should have changed the red pad part to say "and I'll show you how deep the swirl marks go"...
