I have read the description in the pads section, and from the description everyone using a DA polisher should use the CCS pads, but a lot of members say use the flat pads. I have searched several times and can not come up with a definative answer. So, besides the dimples, what is the difference, and why would you use one over the other?

I bought a whole bunch of CCS when I first started out. I bought a few Hydrotech pads a few weeks ago and absolutely loved them, so I decided to buy the flat pads last week. They work a lot better than the CCS. They correct faster (in my mind), and they don't absorb as much product. I'd definitely recommend to Flats over the CCS, but Hydroctech are the king of pads.

Blah, I just bought a 6 pack of CCS pads during the 4th sale.

Like JonM said, I bought the CCS pads initially and have since moved onto the flat and hydrotech pads. Both the flat and HT pad work faster for me too and use alot less product due to teh fact that the product does not get caught up in all the dimples.

I would much rather have the flat pads over ccs. I can't stand CCS pads..

Is there anyone who likes the CCS pads....lol. Chalk it up to I bought the wrong thing again, first the 6.5 pads that came with my PC kit, now I have 12 5.5 CCS pads!

While CCS pads are certainly good in their own right, I find that flat pads offer much more control and feel smoother over panel transitions. My biggest grip against CCS pads has always been that they lack the bevelled edges that the flat Lake Country pads have.
