LC CCS Pad Failure?

Spent the weekend spring detailing/ correcting my DD from the harshest NE winter in recent memory, and while I was swapping to fresh LC CCS 6.5 Orange pad I noticed the clean one was separating from its Velcro backing:

None of my other LC CCS pads have ever done this. Is it defective? Or did I over use sometime last fall leading to the failure? Thoughts?

Could you elaborate on your machine, bp size, product use and technique?

Not saying you did but you could have pulled the pad off the bp by grabbing the foam instead of grabbing onto the Velcro backing/foam together.

All good questions and believe me I'm not above admitting user error!

To answer your questions:
Machine: GG 6
BP: 6" (standard GG)
Product: Megs' UC
Pad: LC CCS 6.5 Orange
Technique: Primed, 3-4 dots of product added, 4-5 passes, pads only used per section before rotated out/ cleaned
Pressure: Medium

Would over saturation of product lead to that sort of pad problem?

I believe that over saturation and using a GG plate with a LC pad could have caused this problem. I always try and match the same manufacturer's plate to pads.

Has anyone had success gluing the Velcro back to the pad?

What glue did you use?

Sure thing sir. Glad I was able to provide it.

I don't have any tips on using SMAT products other than to lightly prime the pad with product.
