I've had two crimson LC HT pads to lose the backing.

I'm wondering if it's the APC I've used to clean them. Does anyone think that APC will cause the backing to fail?

Oh, that's too bad. I like them but may not buy anymore if it's common.

BTW, how the heck do you get Collinite 845 out of the pads. I cleaned and cleaned with APC and it's still has that greasy feel.

I've got some. What I've used so far have gone wonky. And oddly seperated at the center of the Pad, not the edges.

They are not known for longevity, but finishes very well.

Mineral spirits and IPA. I have had really good luck with Rupes and Buff n Shine pads. Buff n Shine appears to make some (all?) Chemical Guy's pads - so that's a source as well. If you need a true 3" foam pad - the choices are slim: Griots, LC, 3M.

I use dawn dish soap and let the pads soak in it in the sink. Cuts through the wax and polish without issue.
