Has this happen to anyone? My right pad now has a light brown stain after using Menzerna SF4500. I did wait for a while before clean it with XMT pad cleaner and dawn but it won't come off.

Notice the left pad had a darker stain due to soaking them in mineral spirit trying to remove the light brown stain. After that didn't work I tried vinegar and now the stain turned light gray. Anyone know how can I get the pad white again?

The same thing happened to both of my white cyclo 4inch pads after using menzerna 4500. Never got around to taking the stain 100% off.

I stained my white pads using Duragloss 501 but got them clean using Meguiar's All wheel cleaner thanks to a post by aerogt01. I sprayed it on the pad and worked it in and let it sit for a bit then soaked it in a solution of apc and pad cleaner. It worked well on 501 and cleaned my Mother's powercone after it was solid black after use on some wheels. Hope this can help.

Try Dawn Pro Disolver spray (about $3 at Walmart--blue bottle) -- usually gets everything out then rinse well. A number of pros have been using it for years with no adverse effects to foam pads.

It's a stain and it won't effect the performance of the pad. I use to to OCD about making my pads perfect. As long as I know all the abrasives and spent paint are off the pad I am happy.

Yeah, it didn't affect the pad performance at all. I'm just being super OCD lol.

I had the same experience with the LC White pads and SF4000. I know the pads are clean so the stain doesn't really bother me.
