Learn me on scratch rating numbers

Is there a resource out there that would let me SEE what a 1200 scratch looks like in comparison to a 1500 or a 2000? I'd like to be able to match that up with what I'm seeing on my cars. I'd also like to know how many RPMs the dials settings (1-6) on the PC 7424XP represent. Then I can make some sense of what the product descriptions for polishes are telling me!

vArIABLE SPEED
Adjust the speed by turning the thumbwheel (C) Fig. 2. Thumb-wheel position #1 provides the slow- est operating speed (2500 OPM) and position #6, the fastest (6800 OPM). You can change the speed while the motor is running or while it is stopped.

I'm sure others will give more info here, but it seems like for the most part, for correction you go with ether 5-6 and to apply sealers and waxes 3-3.5
