My son is starting machine pitch this spring and was wondering if anyone has used any leather conditioner to break in there kids gloves? I always have used Lexol on my leather interior which has Lanolin to soften leather. Is there any products AG sells that might work well on a stiff new BB mitt..... as well as my families leather interiors. Any feedback would be helpful?

Hope everyone has a great time at Detailfest. Joe in Philadelphia

I've always used Mink Oil in the pocket. Place a baseball inside of it and place it under a mattress or use a few rubberbands to hold it closed.

My Dad did this for me when i played baseball as a boy and every time they turned our great.

My A2K is some special material that Wilson uses. When I ordered the glove it came with a tub of a oil paste material. It to works great to freshen up your glove.

I never oil a glove, unless its going to be put up for a few months. My opinion only, makes glove heavy and too soft. For a small kid, being soft is ok.
My thought was that I only wanted the glove to stop the ball. If I closed the glove, it slowed the transition to throwing. My throwing hand should be following the ball into glove anyway. Now, My daughter plays travel softball and she likes them the same way. However, this gets expensive! Folding and molding a glove by hand, I believe is the best way

I broke my son's glove by using good old shaving crime. (Barbasol). Rubbed it on put a softball in a baseball mitt and tied it with rope and let it sit a few days. I would rub shaving creme on it 2 times a day.

Nakona recommends vaseline (if you don't have their glove conditioner). Nakona gloves IMHO are the most difficult gloves to break in. 2 things 1) don't use the stuff that requires time in an oven 2) always leave a ball in the glove
