Currently have ColourLock Protect and Conditioner in the stash, and in the back of the cabinet, have a myriad mix of LeatherMasters and Koh's leather stuff.

I don't think of of said products I have just short of a (leather coating) has minor sealing capabilities to it
For my use case...it's actually for a leather laptop skin, in which I want to -seal- it so it doesn't patina as fast . Part of the allure of said leather products is the patina it develops.....but for me, I simply am seeking to just slow down that process

You can apply ColourLock Leather Protector, then follow with ColourLock Leather Shield.

Somewhat hesitant on Shield...even though between the 2, I believe shield may have more of a sealing effect than Protector.
Whatever shield does in the short temp....it does make the surface slicker...aka, helps to minimize the bolster wear if applied. I noticed this on the seats......and def. not for me for something to be handheld. I've applied Shield to my leather phone case ......and did notice it was a bit too slick for me....

Shield is a friction and abrasion blocker, so yes, it will have a "sealant" effect and can increase the "slickness".

Protector is designed to protect/rejuvenate leather older than 3 years.

Totally understand that.

Ever have one of those of  moment. Dropped my phone.( it was not dropped due to Shield making slick as snot). But for discussion sake, I do notice the difference in tension.....grip, lack of roughness and it being slipper after shield has been applied.

Leather got a bit chewed up.
Ordered a new replacement case......the 1st thing I did when I unboxed it was literally applied shield. Then like 30 minutes later, I am saying WTFUDGE did I just do that.....in hindsight vs foresight.
