Hi all - hoping for some advice on process and products to repair scratches in a black leather seat (BMW E46).

The scratches are a few years old, caused by scraping with something metal. Though you can feel there is depth to the scratches with a fingernail, it's very minimal, really just on the surface.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Kronos, I'll ring them up and see what they have to offer...

Anytime. There may be more affordable options, but unfortunately I don't know of any. Hopefully others can chime in with alternatives.

Another possible option would be to read up on the different leather cleaner/conditioner products available here on ag.

For example Optimum Leather Protectant is a cleaner/conditioner in one, the description states "Optimum Leather Protectant even hides scratches on your leather and vinyl so they virtually disappear." I used Optimum Leather Protection over the weekend and it works pretty well, it left a bit of a slick/squeeky finish but maybe that was the zaino leather conditioner I applied also.

Wolfgang makes a great cleaner/conditioner combo. With the wolfgang you will have two steps, cleaner and condition but you can't go wrong with them, you will definitely like the results.

Goodluck.

i'm with Kronos on being a fan of Leatherique.

as for scratch repair products, you might be best with using a cleaner and conditioner to bring some ply-ability back to the leather before trying any repair product.

might call autogeek and see if they stock any repair products that will meet your needs.

cheers
