Not my first detail, but my first post here. I have been lurking for some time looking at tips, tricks and new products. I need to find the post but I was absolutely blown away by the Black Corvette detail a few weeks ago and decided to give those products a go seeing how well they came out.

Anyway this is a detail of an SC 430, as a late fathers day present. I have been doing a full detail for the past few years for him, so the paint was not in bad shape, but I decided to give it a full correction to test out some of the new products I ordered.

Products:
Mothers Gold Car Soap
Mothers Lambs Wool Mitt
Mothers Gold Clay bar w/ Mothers Detailer
Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug * Tar pad
Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
Menzerna Nano Polish
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealent 3.0
LSP Souveran Carnuba
303 Aerospace Wipes
Power washer @ local coin-wash - clean out carpets
Tons of microfiber cloths
Cobra Microfiber Bonnet to go over everything after LSP to make sure wax was removed.
Fenix T10

-------

All together I spent 13-15 hours on the car, and it really is something else now. I was a bit surprised that all said and done the paint really seemed to be a bit darker, very wet and reflective. I think the metallic got a bit muted, but I need to look at it again now that it has been a few days.

Questions: I waited 12 hours between the Wolfgang Sealant and the Souveran, is this really necessary?

IPA wipe down seemed to take forever to get rid of polish residue, is this normal? I think I went through about 10 microfibers and nearly a liter of IPA in a spray bottle.

How do you guys help protect your back while working on the low sections of the car; I have some existing issues, but I was very sore after 3 days working on the car.

What are some of your ways to clean micro fiber rags after you are done: usually I take over the washer and run 3 loads; wash mitt in one load, cloths used to buff sealant or wax in one load, and cloths used for anything else such as 303, glass, etc in the final load.

303 wipes kind of suck (very hard to apply evenly), I am going to get a straight bottle and use microfiber cloths.

Cleaning painted chrome (exhaust tips) I simply used some super-intensive polish on a rag ... better options?

My neighbors think I am absolutely freaking nuts to spend 3 days "still washing the car".

I will probably have a few more questions that I hope someone will be kind enough to answer.

I do like the wax, it is a bit different than what I am used to, in that you don't let it dry and wipe it off wet. It took a lot more effort than the Wolfgang Sealant to remove, but the results speak for itself.

I tried to apply a razor thin coat, only putting more on the pad when it stopped covering new surfaces, and made a few passes over the area I was working on to make sure things were even.
