White paint is boring! I sure do love it on my daily driver though. Pretty easy to maintain and I don't even see any need to polish honestly. I know it would look better but not sure it would be worth it. What about you other white vehicle drivers? Do you bother polishing or just let it be?

Sometimes, white needs to be polished.

My Dad's ride. He hunts, and takes the car through trails.

I can definitely see a significant difference there. Looks like you did a great job. What kind of truck is it?

Thanks!

I was just messing around one day last spring/summer with it. I used it as a test bed for machine/pad/product experiments.

It's a 2006 Dodge Charger.

Ah, I assumed it was a truck lol. Either way, big difference. I suppose if I actually had a machine, I would be tempted to go to town on it.

I love my white car. Granted, you will never get that mirror reflection in the middle day (need shade for white to reflect) BUT you can get it to really pop. There is a HUGE difference between a well maintained white car and one that is just washed. Personally, I love OPT..easy to use and gets the white really bright. Second, as mike stated, the key to making white look good is contrast...make the black as dark as you can and the white as white as possible.

Finished product PNS was my LSP with BSD/V7 topper

That's a great point about making the black pop. There is a LOT of it on my Xterra too. Those before and after pics of the light reflection may have just sold me on polishing my X. I knew I shouldn't have made this thread :buffing:

Beautiful car

White paint may be boring, but it can shine up nicely. Did my wife's 300 last fall. Nanosponged it, Blackfire TPS then a coat of 845. Looks much better than it did before.

Sorry I may be having a brain hic-up, but what is OPT?

I find white to be more challenging than black! With black you can see defects very easy, but you think you got white nailed than look at it under a street light and anything you missed sticks out like a sore thumb

This was my first job last year..Toyota Camery
Didn't know better and literally used 1 Boss orange pad with 3D HD Adapt
This car bad no Shine not reflection...looked like rattle can Flat White

Just did my sisters Suburu cross trek
Made that white pop..but its pearlesant, so easy to do

Polish Angel Esclate and Viking Coat. Plenty of reflection going on.

White is pretty forgiving, but like was said earlier about defects showing up under street lights and gas station lighting it can be a little tricky to work on at times.... I did a compound and polish on my car this past October and will be doing a touch up polish here soon to clean up what I missed the last time

I agree white is boring. So is silver but here in the UK I have a silver car which I machined and coated with gtechniq c1, my better half fiesta titanium X and my mates old Mercedes e190.

My car.
