I tested CG Citrus Wash, DP Xtreme, and Meg's NXT wash. I used 1 oz. of soap in 16 oz. of water in the foam cannon. Cant really judge cleaning ability between the three because of the way I tested each one. CG and DP seemed to be very similar.

I was never impressed my NXT foaming and your pics just proved it again, not sure why some people think NXT foams like crazy. Wanna see foam, throw some DG wash, or PB's SSS etc (or CG and DP) into a foam gun or even bucket.

How did you like the CG wash? I keep wanting to buy it but seems like a jekyl and hide wash, not diluted will strip your lsp and clean strongly, diluted is like a normal wash.....lol?

not bad results for using 1oz of soap per 16 oz water..DP looked to be a tad bit thicker..

nice write up..thanks for taking the time todo the review and post the pics..

Thanks Joe.

Surfer- I love the CG citrus wash. Its strong and foams great as you can see. It will strip your LSP, thats why I only use it on customer cars. My gentle soap is Megs GC.

I can send you a sample for some PB SSS.

No more SSS lol, been using DG exclusively. Yeh I'm not sure if I'm gonna get CG Citrus, some told me diltuted it won't strip but everything I've read has shown it to be a damn strong wash that cleans.

Yeah, I wouldnt use it if you want to keep your LSP.

Same thing with a lot of car soaps, they will strip off your wax if not diluted properly. the name "Citrus Wash" makes me think slightly acidic, which can remove wax, i would not use it as a regular every day car soap, unless if it is PH balanced, which i doubt it is because it is citrus based. Never used it though, these are just my thoughts.

The NXT seems not to do a lot of suds, but it seems to cling well. Thanks for such a nice review!

I find that my AM Wah and WAX (pink) foams like CRAZY even at dilutions of 50/50 and slightly greater.

Also what were your dilutions on those products and were the EXACTLY the same dilution.

Did you read my post at all?

Thanks for the testing D&D!

I use citrus wash without any ill effects using the right dilution. 1/2 oz for 2 gallons of water.

Nope I did not read it....laziness prevails.

Consider this thoug, what does the manufacturer recommend for dilutions? Although 1/16 maybe what you want to dilute it to, what if per say NXT said 3oz to 16oz? THen maybe their product would be effective because your using it within their operating range.

However that would prove a point in which you would use MORE of the NXT which in terms means wasting more money. However some people may be die hard fans of the soap and use it in stronger concentrations to achieve a thick lather.

One more thing also...I take it you have cleaner "city Water" instead of "ground water" (don't laugh a lot of "detailers" here pump well water in their tanks because it is FREE). I have noticed that city water that is filtered again with a built system (like the one I have seen advertised here on AG) achieves better results in terms of foam thickness and even overall cleaning ability.

The review is helpful, I think that maybe I will try out some products and post as well. Was your foan cannon used with a pressure cleaner or just a garden hose?

I make my own dilutions for the soap. Whatever foams and cleans the best, and is most cost efficient is what I use. When I do a FULL detail on a car, I use a total of 3 oz. of soap. This is 1 oz. with 30 oz. of water in my foam cannon, 1 oz. in about 2- 3 gallons of water in the bucket, and 1 oz. in my AG foam gun and fill the rest with water.

That foam gun is for pressure washers.

I used CG Citrus wash-n-gloss. It won't remove your LSP if you dillute it properly. It takes about 2/3 oz and 2 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket.
Using more will make it a stronger wash and possibly remove your LSP (carnauba, sealants will still be durable, DG #105 at least).

Think I'll jst stick with my DG wash lol. Maybe grab some CG Citrus if something needs good cleaning or strip down.

just so you know cg wash n gloss is a great cleaner and even at a dilution ratio of 2 oz to one gallon of water the ph of the solution is just under 7.5....just food for thought that the soap is much gentler than people think...dont let the citrus name fool you...you will have more lsp loss with meg nxt that at the same dilution has a ph of just over 8....

I thought nxt is PH neutral?

Thanks for the review. I use CG Citrus Wash in both my foam canon for the pressure washer and in my $10 Lowes soap dispenser. I haven't noticed any adverse effects on my LSP but I only use 1/2 oz.

Thank you for the effort invested! I have several washes I will be trying in cannon as soon as Bradley and I figure out issue with connector on my PW.

Awesome test, thanks for taking the time and doing this. Where did you pick up your foam cannon? Looks like a nice toy....:D
