I am looking for a good quality, extendable brush to wash a truck with. Microfibre preferred. Something washable. Suggestions?

You and me both. I'm all ears if somebody knows where to get some.

What type of truck if I may ask? A little more specific on what you are going to be using it for.

Wally World has grey Chenille microfiber(noodles) wash mitt on red 48 in. extendable pole for $9.97. Removable and re-washable. I too have been unable to find these here at AG.

We do Tractors and quite a bit of semi truck work. Our customers spend quite a bit to clean them up and it would be great to supply something to keep it that way. agribuff.com

Have you looked at the boars hair ones that autogeek sells? They are super soft, sometimes to soft to effectively remove all the road film. Also Griots Garage sells some so check them out.

Does boar's hair lift grit as well or better than microfibre?

Im not totally sure, i would say microfiber would get the surface cleaner, but boars hair would be more gentle: less chance of scratching or marring. Never used the microfiber style. Hopefully more experienced people can chime in

Boars hair can and will mar delicate paint finishes. Microfiber is the way to go!

years ago i bought an extendable piece that had a head on it that resembles the glass master head. on it went a chenille bonnet. worked great for exactly what you mean. i think i got it at a run of the mill automotive retailer.

i still have it, believe it or not. just no need to use it at this stage.

Here is a brush I bought from Amazon. Below is the name, I'll try and repost a picture of it. It's not expensive, fast shipping, and it works really well for me. Plus you can remove the mop head (fabric head) by untying it and wash it in the washer. Hopefully this will work for you.

Happy Detailing...😀

here's a pic of the one i have (blue/gray thing). the center wider blue thing is foam. it's adjustable re: length, has a multi-directional head and was very easy to use.

wash mitts do fit on the end, but i simply used the bonnet that came with it.

I'm looking for a high quality extendable non-brush type wash pole myself.

The one mentioned above doesn't extend far enough, the handle isn't heavy duty, and there's no padding under the micro-fiber. A good high quality padding would help reduce any chance of marring paint because of the hard substrate underneath the microfiber and it would help the mitt conform to curved areas much better.

Boar's hair brushes are an option for some folks and for some washing situations, but we need other high quality options and they just don't seem to be out there.

Surehold offers a quality extendable pole, but again, not much padding under their pad cover...which would also help hold soapy water. When you've got a long way to reach having extra soapy water in a sponge beneath the cover is a big benefit to a non-marring wash process.

A foam gun can help, but sometimes nothing beats the simplicity and speed of dunking a nice big, thick, wash mop into a bucket of slick and soapy water.

i don't know about the one above, but the chenille bonnet that came with mine included a thin sponge aspect inside to help hold solution. and you can also insert the flat part into a wash mitt if needed. if you needed more padding, you could add a terry bonnet and THEN the MF bonnet. it also extends to far beyond anything i ever wanted, including doing the roof of a lifted H2 (what a pain that truck was to wash, haha).

i wish i could indicate the brand of mine to you. as mentioned i am 99% sure i bought it at a common brick & mortar retail store...possibly a Pep Boys. it was years ago.

EDIT: it's AutoCraft, so i must have gotten it at Advance Auto.
