My name is Scott and I live in Ohio. My company is Reflections- OAC Detailing. The OAC is a dedication to my father figure growing up, it means "On A Corvette". He had a nice collection of Corvettes and growing up his son and I would watch him take care of his cars and sometimes let us do some of the washing and waxing on them. He was the one that first introduced me to the idea of keeping cars looking sharp at all times. By linking him into the name of my company gives me motivation when times are tough and always ties me to my roots and my passion for detailing.

I've been detailing for 7 years part time. Started out as a hobby when I was young then one day I said "why don't I do this as a business and make extra money doing something I enjoy?" I started my mobile detaing business in a small town of about 10,000 people. I really started to do well. All of the wealthy people in the town came to me and I even started doing work for dealerships. Just as I got rolling, my wife and I found good full time jobs in Columbus that we couldn't turn down. It took a year and a half but I'm now back up and running here, have a lot of repeat customers and really starting to do well again.

That's my story, I am really looking forward to learning from everyone and communicating with other like minded people.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for sharing your story. Very inspiring that you took your business, that you've put a ton of effort in building, and were able to make it successful after a big move! I'll bet not many people can just move their company across the country and still make it work.

Welcome to Ohio, I'm from Akron, but I do plan on trying to make it to one of the Columbus Cars & Coffee meets on Saturday mornings, maybe can meet up sometime.
