I have a widow that lives near me that just bought a new Subaru crosstrek. This car is absolutely an appliance for her, I do not expect her to even wash it more than about once every couple months. Carport kept in Florida. However she has asked me for something that she can put on the car that would stay through some car washes and keep the dirt off, As she sees me working on my car quite often. I am looking for a cheap WOWA product like blackfire crystal seal or McKees 10 minute paint sealant. Not a ceramic, just a good old polymer like crystal seal or McKees. But those two are more money than she needs to spend , currently my thinking is ultima paint guard plus which on Amazon is about 15 bucks or so. Any other ideas? I don’t want to be an Si02 product because I don’t want her to have to go back and buff, I want her to truly wipe on , and walk away.(Because I may end up doing it and I don’t wanna spend a lot of time, but she has done me a few favors)

please send me your suggestions . to sum up , my needs are :
A true W O W A product, not a haze and then buff product
Something less than 18 bucks
Applied with a microfiber brick or similar

thanks!

This is real simple...303 Touchless Sealant. Spray on wet car and hose off, can't get any easier than that

Thanks, but this is a situation where she needs to put it on in her carport after taking it to the touchless car wash. So a Hydro application is not what we’re looking for here. Like I said , I need something that I can wipe on with a microfiber brick like crystal seal. Crystal seal no longer made, and McKees is too expensive at 28 bucks. The only 2 WOWA products that I know of any more are the McKees and the Ultima. Are there any other WOWA products these days?

Opti-seal on sale. It would work a treat but is $25.

Maybe just maybe someone can donate one to you to pass along to herYou mentioned you may be the one doing the work and this is just a suggestion but since you know her and she is widowed have you thought about doing a base detail to paint with something good AND THEN letting her maintain it at her digression

Mckee’s 37 10 minute paint sealant lasts about as long as it takes to apply it. One rain or car wash later and it’s gone. Definitely one of my least favorite products from them.

Well based on the name it does what it says, right

I think I’ll get her some Ultima… I always liked that stuff when I used it 10 years ago…..it even comes with a brick….

My thinking is also tilted towards
Ultima Paint Guard Plus (the original
WOWA paint Sealant).

•Is the @$15 for the 4oz. bottle?
-If so, it’s a good deal, IMO.
-I can get somewhere around 10-15
applications per 4oz. bottle.

I love the Ultima Paint Guard Plus product. Pretty easy to use and has decent longevity

Beleieve it or not what workes for me is Eagle One Wipe and Shine. Its very cheap , very easy to use never streakes, leaves a great shine, and helps fill minor scratches . Can also be used on chrome and glass. It beads water like crazy at 40 miles per hour the water just blows of your hood .
