I really just wanted to get a fresh new surface to work with that is completely clean. I guess i could clay bar the car, but i didnt know if a paint cleaner would do a better job. If you do know of some good cleaners, id love to know

Clay + paint cleaner would be your best bet. Klasse AIO is an excellent cleaner. If your looking for a perfectly clean surface (no sealant / acrylic /wax protection) then a chemical cleaner like Poorboy's Pro Polish would be a good bet.

Pinnacle Paintwork Lotion or P21S GEPC are the two best products for paint cleansing specifically.

Klasse AIO is a chemical cleaner that works very nicely and leaves behind an excellent shine.

the wolfgang paint cleaner is on par with the pinnacle and p21s also.

awesome guys, thank you for all the input. Now its just a matter of deciding which to buy! lol

Poorboys Professional Polish is a great cleaner. With an orange pad and a Flex, I can even do minor correction. The 32oz bottle goes a long way.

Can you get it LSP ready, using an orange pad? Just seems that the orange pad will not finish down while doing minor correction. I don't doubt you cause I never tried it, so no offense. I'm just used to using a gray or blue pad with a paint cleaner. Guess some paint cleaners use different pads to finish off.

:)None taken. I was just stating the versatility of the Pro Polish. Not saying to go from an orange pad to LSP. The same process would apply as normal, orange, white, and so on. I even used Pro Polish to remove some rust stains from my bathroom sink the other day.
