My Brinkmann swirl findern light just bit the bullet and i need to find a new replacement for it. Will the led spotlight that Brinkmann has will work as a swirl finder light, if not what will be the best options?

Can't really reccomend a brand but I would get a good 300 lumens LEd light with zoom capability. I don't reccomend paying a fortune for a FLEx or Rupes light unless money no object to you.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have any suggestion on which one?

Bump! Does anyone has any suggestion? I know the chinese led flashlight lumens are over exaggerated. Not sure which one to get.

I use a ThorFire TG06 LED Flashlight CREE XP-G2 LED Tactical Flashlight and while it will work just fine off a AA it thrives and really puts out major power when using a Powered 14500 Battery.

It's a pocket sized powerhouse with variable power modes. Works great for me. Especially when inspecting my black cars in my garage. I hate going outside to be blindsided by smudges and less than perfect wipe off of LSP's, etc. let alone seeing swirls. This little fellow will help you see both with ease.

I've tried to capture things on video but I'll blame myself/user error for it not working out well. I have little patients for videos like that.

Thanks for the reply!

Browsing the web with key words such as "Tactical Led Flash light" and "Pen Led flashlight" yield the following results.

J5 Tatical v1 pro flashlight-
[h=1]ThorFire PF01 Tactical LED Flashlight Pen Light [/h]
Streamlight 66318 MicroStream C4 LED pen
One thing in common is that many similiar brands light to use the Cree Led light

Worse case if the light doesn't work out at least you have a bright flashlight to keep in car :-)

Check out "Refun A100 900 High Lumens Ultra Bright - CREE XML T6 LED Tactical Flashlight " on Amazon... cheap, bright, and PERFECT for detailing. We have 3 of them in the shop and they're great. Pick up some spare batteries for it as well and you're all set.

I've seen the Scangrip light work absolute wonders but it's absurdly pricey...

I love the super bright led flashlights they sell at Costco. $20-$30

I got a similar flashlight by the same company recommended by Zach above. The, LINK REMOVED : see terms / conditions.

I had 2 other people recommend this flashlight. It will be in tomorrow I ordered for a correction I am doing over the weekend. For the price you can not go wrong, worst case you have a flashlight to throw in the glove box, but when I seen the video of the person that recommended it to me it did the job very well of picking up swirls and micro marring. If I remember I will try and post back when i get to try it.

I use a Coast G20 pen light. $13 on Ebay. Very clean, bright light for its size / price.

Guys lets all follow the AG rules here. And realize that this is a company to make money , its a business.

They are nice enough for giveaways, deals, discounts. Lets show them a little reapect.

If you guys have a recommendation pm the OP.

If not ill say this to the OP.

The rupes pen light is awesome because its lightweight and you can clamp it on your shirt.

Also it has a direct beam of a circle, other lights recommend in this thread have like a circle within a brighter circle.
