Hey everyone,

I'm a longtime lurker. I read here every day. I live outside of Baltimore Maryland. I used to collect Mustangs, vintage Porsches and MGs, but just survived a nasty divorce and the cars and the house went bye bye. Starting to get back on my feet, I recently bought a little house, a '99 Jag XJR and a '99 Porsche C4 Cab (I know pictures are a necessity, but these bad cell phone pics are all I have for the moment - and yes the Jag was filthy, but I liked the background).

The house was built in 1941 and the garage is old and tiny and damp and dark and infested with mice, so that was of course the first order of business. Unfortunately it is also where my trouble started. In order to refurbish the garage, I had to store the cars outside on the driveway. What I didn't take into account was that the beautiful mature trees around my new house were oak trees. Over the past several days, they have dropped literally thousands of acorns on my driveway...and my cars. Now the top sides of both cars are riddled with dents, just like hail damage. CCCCRRRRRRAAAAAPPPPPP!!!!

Do any of you guys do, or know someone who does, really good PDR in the Maryland/DC area? I've had PDR done in the past by the big shops, but this time I am hoping to find someone good who might be willing to do it on the side...

Sorry to hear about the tough time you had with your ex, but I am happy to hear you're getting back on your feet. I am really liking the Porsche and I wish I could help you with a recommendation for the dent removal, but I'm not from that area. Most of all..Welcome to Autogeek!

Sorry, can't help with the PDR part either. Hope you find somebody good though. Sorry to hear about the divorce - must be rough. Glad you are getting back on your feet though. Nice cars, btw. :props:

Wow, dents from ACORNS? I never would have thought they would have enough weight to cause a dent. PDR is more common here than gas stations ........... GL.

I know, right? The friggin' trees are like 80 feet tall and the acorns come down at the speed of sound. It's not good. Hopefully one of the members will know somone.

Here's another picture of the Jag, taken with an actual camera. Not real good, I know, but at least it's clean in this one...

I love black cars but they sure hate me...

Sucks, Mother Nature took it out on you..........women!! ;-) Really sorry to hear about your rides, but happy to hear you're getting back on your feet. Living in NJ I've come across similar situations with Black Walnuts, too. I've done some research into the local professional detail shops and the services they use for just this issue. In NJ there several shops that stand out from the pack, others vary in quality and success. I would start with Google and search for Paintless Dent Repair MD, then ask around to see which shops the local professional detailers & auto dealerships use. I know you want someone on the side - I would not consider it on that Porsche - aluminum is rough to work out - takes special skill, the Jag may have aluminum wings and bonnet, too . Hope this helps a little.
