M205 with surbuff

Before I jump from m205 to SIP....
Could I get more "cut" from m205 with my surbuff?
The polishing I'm doing as of now is light.
So curious as to whether a surbuff will give the m205 a little more oompf or just jump to the sip?
 
^^in addition...I'd rather not deal with the dusty mess of SIP if I dont have to
 
Surbufs rarely finish well enough to not be followed up no matter what polish you use on them. You could try it, but you will most likely be lift with a good bit of marring from the surbufs.
 
Hmm...i think Im going to step up to the SIP then with a white LC flat pad. And go from there.
Now is a time I wish I bought the power finish as well!
