Machine waxing?

Now that I have a DA I see one of the reasons people buy liquid wax. I used Fuzion which as you know comes in paste form in a jar. I have seen video where people empty the

product from the jar and wipe the pad with it. That's kind of scary for me as I would probably drop it. Is there any other trick to use paste wax with a DA or do you just hand

wax once you get to your last step? Thanks
 
Check out a vid by Mike Phillips on YouTube punch in ( Mike Phillips wolfgang) 57 min he uses Fusion on this. Shorter version hold the jar in one hand and TWIST the pad into the product. Hope this helps.

You could also use a butter knife and toast type application. just lightly skim a little off the wax and spread it on your pad. Be sure to use very little though.

I show using the handle of your PC wrench on page 107 of my how-to book. Of course wipe it clean first. The blade style handle is like a big butter knife or a spatula and in most cases you already have it handy where you do your car detailing.

Might not be 'correct', but I use a putty knife to scrape a little out and smear on the pad. (The putty knife is new and dedicated). It works for me.
 
Awsome tips!! Brilliant with the wrench Mike!!. Why didn't I think of " Back buttering??". The most useful tips are simple once someone tells you them:props:.

Like putting in a screw, if you don't know to use a screwdriver you're ...."screwed"
 
since i got my porter cable i haven't hand applied a wax to a car yet LOL. some jars you cant remove the wax so for me i use a credit card scrape off wax in a nice layer and put it in a smaller jar and melt it down and let it harden, then if i drop the wax its only xxx amount lost and i can just scrape the sides off and still have most of the wax. but i mainly use collinite 845 and works great. even comes out of pads easily, imo its the easiest wax to remove from pads even if let to dry.
