Magnetic Paint Thickness Checkers...

Some of us cannot afford the Electronic ones... so what is the general opinion of the Magnetic ones.

Is their calibration bang on ? Or do they leave a lot to be desired ?

Have you checked Harbor Freight to see if you can pick up one of the $10 Cen-Tec ones? I got one of those and it is AWESOME to use.

what is the number for the Paint checker you are talking about?
I looked at Harbor Freight and I could not find it.

The number is 95520, but from what I've read it's been discontinued.

I found a bunch on eBay... but I'm not sure about their accuracy or reliability.
