What shampoos do you like and are safe to use during a maintenance wash (not rinseless or waterless) that won't remove your LSP? Would you want them to have protection qualities to them or no? Keep in mind I also use D156 as a drying aid on all of my maintenance washes and to help boost my LSP.

Thanks! -R

if you want a maintainence soap that doesn't contain gloss enhancers than 3D pink car soap is a good choice. i've been through 5 gallons and it works well in the bucket, and both the foam gun/cannon.

gonna try this one next...

I like my soap to be really slick and sudsy.. and who doesn't mind it smelling nice. I'm not interested in any protection left on the car because that's what a coating or sealant is for.

A very nice set of recommendations. I really enjoy a lot of 3D products, so I'd probably try some of the Pink Car Soap. I also have a bunch of Meguiars Hyper-Wash already that I use on full details when the LSP is pretty much gone already, but never thought about using it maintenance washes, so I'll try that as well.

I suppose my followup question would be... Is it recommended to use only soaps that don't contain any kind of protectants or gloss enhancers for maintenance washes or is there any good reason to use them? If there are pros to using them, which ones would you recommend? Again, keep in mind I use D156 as a drying aid on these types of washes.

Works fine as a maintenance wash. I use it when I do a 3 bucket wash.

This is completely personal preference. For me personally, I don't like them. I don't want to to anything to alter my LSP. Other than a spray wax if I am using a sealant or wax. Or even if my personal car has a coating on it.

Ok then. So other side of the coin. What washes WITH gloss enhancement properties would be recommended for a maintenance wash?
