I have the "Art Of Detailing" ebook and it's great. But I wish it came in a format suitable for reading on my Kindle Fire, that's my preferred ereader.
I don't know about the Kindle Fire, but the other Kindles are really bad handling PDFs. Everything comes in pretty small and requires a zoom to a certain part of the page....it's just bad.
Oh, and if it comes in a different format such as ePUB, you can use an application called Calibre E-Book Manager to convert it to .mobi which works great on Kindle. If it's only in PDF, the conversion won't help much, imo.
I agree. PDF seemed to work better on Kindle 2. I have not tried it on the fire but I convert everything to mobi with Calibre. Surely Yancey can come up with an ePub version so it can be converted.
The Art Of Detailing ebook is a password-protected PDF file. The Kindle Fire can't open it "as is". There are ways of removing the DRM to make it a standard PDF, but the filesize is too large for the Fire to display quickly. I've reduced the size & quality of the PDF to get it to display, but text/picture quality suffers quite a bit.
