Makita vertical polisher

Does anyone have any input on this machine? I picked one up at the store the other day.It looks & feels like it would be more comfortable to use than the other styles.

Yes. It had a 7" backing pad & variable speeds from 600-2100 rpm. Very comfortable in the hand.only thing I did not get was the model number.

Just googled it. Look like a big rotary drill. Also saw a 5" random orbital that was the same style.

Not sure what you would be using it on. This might be a better choice for about the same price.

PV 7001C is the model. Top rpm is 2000. We have a Dewalt 849X that is similar to makitas version. The 849 has a higher top rpm,like 3500 or so.
