What is it? Bottle says a capful per gallon, but that's a bit vague, as I use a 1 oz measuring cup. I've read about an ounce per 3 gallons too.

So, in a five gallon bucket, how much soap?

A capful is pretty close to one tablespoon which is 1/2 ounce. I stole my wifes tablespoon which is why I know this. I now have my own set because of this.

They said
"1 capful to 1 gal"
1 capful of Chemical Guys is 10ml, so it is 1:384.
In other words, 1oz per 3 gal.

I see different measurements for the CG cap capacity reported. I wonder if some is related to the 16 oz size cap vs the 1 gallon caps. I only have 16 oz caps so I will measure this later today.

As a general rule I use 2 ounces per 5 gallons of water and it seems to work out pretty well. If it's a concentrated wash product I'll use slightly less but I'll always read the recommended dilution rate.

I measured the 16oz CG top. It was around 7 or 8 ml - less than 10 oz.

Nevermind, I looked again on both bottles - 1 cap full per gallon. I'm glad you guys posted this, I've been using too much!

I backed off the dilution when I found this out but I did not like the result so I used 1/2 oz per gallon. I am not sure how CG comes up with these dilutions at times.

Used about 1.75 ounces. Seemed to work well. Nice soap.
