maxima headlights restored finally

Finally did the lights on the Maxima no pitting or scratches just getting foggy and making my ride look bad.

cleaned with stoners
2500 grit wet sand
Megs solo cut and polish w/solo yellow wool pad
Megs 205 w/orange 3 in. pad
ipa wipe
helmsman spar urethane uv sealer 50/50/ mix with mineral spirits.
buffing was done using the flex 603 15-1800 rpms

great result! I've seen older cars lose years of age with a headlight resto.
 
Wow, they came out great. I think I may be trying this method on one of my cars that can really use it. Thanks for sharing with us.
 
Looks good! I am not sure why some members are scared to try this method. It works and lasts longer than anything I have tried before(urethane mixture). And it can be wet sanded off easily just like the original coating, I tried it, if you don't like it, it can be reversed even after its been cured. This method is cheaper than a new set of lights, so in my opinion its worth a try.

Can I get an AMEN from the congregation the only other stuff I might try is the Klasse just because I have some. But you are dead on right HotRod sometimes people get hung up on the fact that "it wasn't designed for that" but I heard many experiences on here of people using things they were not necessarily "designed" for with good results.(woolite comes to mind) Im sorry but you can't argue with result man. :props:
 
I have tried Klasse, it works well on paint, but does not last as long on plastic lenses, from my experiences. I don't think the urethane will last forever, but nothing else makes them look good and stay that way longer. IMO
