This is a link to the MB website: designo Paint, Leather and Interior Trim - Mercedes-Benz

The actual color is Platinum and the color code is S63.

How do you take care of this type of finish? Obviously shine is not what the owner wants but the painted surface still needs to be cared for.

I did a couple of searches and could not bring up any additional information. This type of finish may be called something else by the professional detailers on this forum.

Any information will be appreciated.

You can find several products for matte paint, I use c quartz finest, extreme protection and does not Chang the look. I did this ford that way.

There is also a wax specifically for matte paint/vinyl finishes. I cant think of the name of the company though. Im sure some one will chime in soon with the name of it.

I bought one of their folding buckets for £39.99 so I can wash my car when on holiday!

It's my OCD problem! Lol

Dedicated Matte lines, not sold on AG
Dr. beasleys - own website and Amazon (free shipping if you have Prime)
Nanolex - own website

Chemical guys has JetSeal Matte, while AG carries Chem Guys, they do not carry this one.

Is this the C Quartz product you are recommending?

CQuartz Ceramic Quartz Paint Protection, CQuartz nano coating, nano paint sealant

Thank you for al the replies.

I have not used this product yet. I would assume that it should work for my black Toyota Tacoma.

Since I have to do a spring polish, seal and wax I will try this on my Tacoma first before using it on a customers MB. My customer had asked me to check into what needs to be done to protect his paint.

I normally apply 3 to 5 coats of Zaino after polishing then apply 2 coats of a wax. I think I will apply 2 coats of the c quartz after polishing then 2 coats of Souveran wax since it is springtime and the snow is all gone.

Once I start the Detail on the Tacoma I will start another thread with a lot of pics.

I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that cQuarts cannot be topped

I will check into that. I read one of the reviews where the reviewer had applied a wax over the c quarts. Another review I read the reviewer applied the c quartz over Klasse.

Clearly I need to do a lot more research.

How long will the product last once the bottle has been opened. If I purchase the 50ml bottle and only use 25ml is there a shelf like on the remainder in the bottle?
