Hey guys, I had the chance to try out a couple new products this past weekend. 1st one was the Britemax Max Shine High Gloss Liquid Polymer Wax [quite a long name eh] that I've had sitting on my shelf for a couple of months and figured it was about time I checked it out... It's a combination formula of Brazilian Carnauba Wax/Montan Wax/Polymers. The other product was Mckee's 37 360 AIO
Thanks Cruz!
This will be a longevity test. I know that this isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison, but I don't care, I'm testing them anyways. Lol.
Both products were applied onto smooth clayed paint using the G21 w/Boss Yellow Foam Polishing Pad on speed 4. 1st I applied the Britemax and let it set to haze while I applied the Mckee's...
I wiped off the Mckee's side 1st, immediately after finishing the entire drivers side from front to back [allowing it to haze for just a bit]
The thin layer that remained after polishing was easy to wipe off. Very nice user experience + looking good.
Then it was time to wipe off the Britemax after giving it plenty of time to dry to a haze... Oh boy, if I thought the 360 was easy to wipe off, this was on a whole nother level... Super easy to wipe off, like hot butter! And the paint was so smooth!
The directions say to apply with a buffer moving slowly while applying moderate pressure, so that's what I did. This stuff is a pleasure to work with.
Here you can see the difference they both made as far as cleaning the paint. [via the tape line]
I'll update the longevity results/beading/water behavior in the coming weeks to see how they stack up.
FYI: This truck parks outdoors.
Thanks for reading.
I sent a sample out last week of McKee's
Thanks Cruz!
