Kit comes with everything almost everything your need:
McKees 37 Headlight Restoration Kit
- 3" Backing Plate for your drill
- 3 1/4" Wool Pad - Lake County
- Headlight Polish
- Headlight Protectant Spray
- Microfiber Applicator
- Microfiber Towel 16 x 16
You will need to provide:
- Wet Sand Paper (1200/2000 grits) & Water Bucket
- Drill
- Painters Tape
- APC - I used LA Totally Awsome
Steps are super easy to get great results:
- Tape off area around headlight to protect paint and headlight edges
- Drop Sand Paper into water bucket
- Clean Headlight with APC
- Wipe Dry
- Wet sand headlight with 1200 grit (I went across the light on this step)
- Wipe off excess water
- Inspect for deep scratches / hazing = You want to see smooth but hazed and whitish lenses
- Wet sand headlight with 2000 grit (I went vertical across the light on this step)
- Wipe off excess water
- Inspect for Clearer lenses - much less whit but still haze
- Insert Baking Plate into Drill & Velcro Wool Pad on
- Apply 3 drops of polish to wool pad
- Spread onto light with Drill stopped
- Polish Light by moving drill over light at various speeds
- Wipe off Polish
- Repeat Steps 10 - 13 until happy with results
- Clean with APC
- Wipe Dry
- Spray Protectant directly onto Headlight
- Wipe with Microfiber Applicator across headlight to spread Protectant
- Wait 2 minutes and buff off with Microfiber Towel
