McKee's 37 Rinseless Wash & Wax

First, sorry but no pictures. I got a bottle of this with the last mystery box. I'm a rinseless wash guy so I was looking forward to trying this out. Currently I use either ONR or ONRWW.
McKee's has a nice banana scent, reminding me a lot of banana Runts candy. The yellow liquid feels about as slick as ONR right out of the bottle. I mixed it the recommend ratio of 1oz to 2 gallons of water.
My truck was last washed 4 days ago but it's been raining a lot lately. I would say that the dirt level on it was medium, with no heavy dirt or accumulations. It was just dirty. I used my Big Red Sponge with 2 bucket system. Washing, McKees felt a lot like ONRWW, which I think is thin compared to ONR. However, it cleaned very well and left no streaks, which I've had happen with ONRWW. Each section was washed and dried off with WW towels. I did not do the wheels since I had just washed them earlier in the week and my garage is really tight when the truck is in there.
I pulled out into the driveway when I was done to look at the truck in the sun. No streaks, and the paint had a nice clean and shiny glow to it. I thought about either wiping down with either HD Express or OCW, but I decided my truck looked nice to enough and I wanted to see how nice McKee would stay looking.
Overall, I would place this ahead of ONRWW but behind ONR. I don't really care for the smell of bananas. I've found that wash and wax products are great for maintenance washes when you have a wax on your vehicle, which mine does with 845. My wife's car has Powerlock on it and ONRWW gets streaky. ONR works well on everything. Would I buy it again? I'm not sure. I still have 3/4 of a gallon of ONR and maybe 16+ oz of ONRWW, so I'm set for washes for a while. I would guess price will come into play. I'm happy with the results and ease of use, and I'm sure that I'll use this more as we get into wash season here in the northeast.

Nice! I'm a rinseless person myself.

Have you considered trying 1:128? A product like D114 recommends it for added lubricity & extra cleaning power.

Which feels slicker after drying, ONR or McKee's?

Have you used other washing media besides BRS? I would like to know how well it releases dirt, and if it stains (like ONR).
 
McKee's feels slicker than ONR. I only tried it out with my BRS, so I can't compare it to using a microfiber towel. It did release really well, but that may be have been a function of the sponge. With only washing two vehicles I don't think it would have had enough time to stain. Plus, all the drying towels I used went right into the wash afterwards.

I have the BRS myself. Just couldn't get the hang of it. Not the sponge's fault. Seems to be a nice tool & big hit with many.

As a huge fan of rinseless, I'm going to pick up a 16oz to try. Even if it's not a home run, rinseless makes for excellent glass cleaner & pretreatment, so you're not really losing out. This is why I like this category so much.

And perhaps we'll get some photos next time. :props:
 
The more I use my BRS the better i get with it. The best advice I can give is to let the sponge presoak until it's really soft. It's recommended to let it live in a bucket of ONR. Of course mine is bone dry right now in a bucket but that's besides the point. Keep it wet and moist and it will deform to places you wouldn't think it would fit
 
You said the magic word carnuba. That changes the equation for many users.
