McKee's Coating prep ??'s

I'm trying the McKee's SiO2 enhanced paint coating for the first time ever. If I polish using HD Polish, can I follow up with the McKee's N-914 at panel wipe ratio and then apply the coating?

Or is it critical that I use the McKees coating prep polish?

Using McKee's N-914 as a panel wipe is sufficient, no need for the prep polish.
