Me and the Saleen S7(more pics! LOOK!)

This is me in the news paper

In the news paper below this picture it says "Danny Vanco polishes a 2003 Saleen during the 41st annual Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance on Sunday." I was using a quick detailer,hahaha, it goes to show you what reporters know!:rolleyes: Unfortunatly they didnt catch me using the Pinnacle crystal mist in the begining, but you can be sure i sent a few people to pinnacle. In fact a guy got a pice of paper and i recomended some products to him, some of which were pinnacle! It was a real head ache doing this car, but it was okay because i was under no pressure, if i put a scratch in it, the only thing that would happen is it would have to get a new 50,000$ paint job, since they custom make this lystic red paint by hand, you have to repaint the whole car if it gets a scratch, and yes, the stock paint job is 50k, it takes them about 3 months to paint the whole car.

It will be the FIRST thing I buy when I win the mega millions lotto, whenever I get around to doing that...

edit - second purchase will be the biggest AG order in history
 
Sweeet....I actually got to touch one too...didn't sit in it...it was sold :( darn to late...well the vehicle is impresive. Man your famous...MAY I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH!!! :D

it is a customers car, i also did a maserati grand sport,and audi RS6 for the same guy. AND I GOT TO RIDE IN IT, MAN THE THING FLYS, IT WILL SPIN THE TIRES IN 4TH GEAR. IF YOU GUYS ARE INTERESTED I HAVE HAVE SOME REALLY INTERESTING STORIES ABOUT THIS CAR.

i have like a billion pics, but it wont let me down load them :(, as for the storys, here it goes, so one time Rick(the owner) took his son out to dinner in the S7, so he is sitting there eating an all of the sudden.......he hears the shwooosh sound of his door going up, so his son walks out and they find some asian woman clinbing into the car, ricks son davis says "what are you doing"? and the woman says "oh, is this your car" he says "no, but its my dads, can you get out" she says"oh, its okay i am just taking my picture in the car" rick walks over and says, no, no ,its not alright, you might scratch the leather, if you want to take your picture in the car first you have to take off all of your clothes, i dont want you to damage the leather!!!!!hahahhaha

how dare she even touch the vehicle....man that's my fear having a stranger come up to my vehicle and even breath on it...as you can tell I'm a little protective of my vehicles

no man, i wish i was. now that i think of it i was pretty crazy working on that thing with a PC, one drop or slip and......ya. i really hope that Saleen would have covered it, if any thing were to happen, i know that the car has been repainted before, and it took 3 months, for the first 2 years they will drive a trailer up to your house, and take it to the factory for free i think. i heard that they will even give you a saleen rental?! There was one thing that happened while i was detailing it, it gave me a heart attack, the S7 was on a lift, and i wanted to lower it so i could wax the roof. well, one of the safety locks in the front of the lift lost pressure or got caught or some thing but any way as it lowered, the front of the lift stayed, an the back began to lower, so i was sitting there going no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no dont dont, basicly i was worried about it rolling off the back of the lift and drop 6 feet, there was a rubber block under the back left tire, but i would like to hope there was more than that keeping it on the lift, i really hope he keeps the e brake and that he keeps it in 1st gear, because if he does the thing would have never slid off the end. i have more true storys if any one is interested.

Saw a show on Speed about the S7, somthing like 30 some odd vents and scoops on that car. Amazing. Awsome car, and great detail.
 
Thejoyofdriving, those are some nice pics buddy. You got to get the other pictures loaded and share because that is a sick vehicle. Man you must be enjoying your self detailing that vehicle....I know I would.

Oh and don't hold back, share the story's buddy :D I'm interested on hearing them.
 
I read in some magazine that, in theory, the car makes enough aerodynamic downforce at 160mph, that it could drive on an upside down road, like on the ceiling of a tunnel. I guess at that point it would be "upforce" huh?

That is a very true, the car can in fact drive upside down at speeds of 150mph and higher, i believe it is the most areo dynamic super car in the world. it acctualy has scoops and vents channles the air through the car, when we were at the car show a man walked up to us and asked"exactly how many gills does this thing have" Rick said"more than a shark"the 650hp engine has 2 ram air intakes, one on the top(roof) and one on the hood. it can go 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, the brake rotors are larger than the rims on my 2003 BMW 325ci, and the rims on my car arent exactly small, my rims are 17 the rotors are 18, the rims on the s7 are 20 in diameter. the exaust is a ear shattering 109db. I will go to photo bucket and feed you guys more pics. for now i will tell another story. so the s7 has never been registered, which means no plates, Rick was driving the car to a charity event, when he got pulled over, and the cop said, "you know you dont have any plates" Rick said"i know i am just driving down to a charity event" the cop said i wont write you a ticket, but you have to do something for me" Rick said what?" the cop said"line it up right here" so he did, and the cop added"punch it" Rick said" officer i cant do that, that would be illigal," the cop said the only thing that is illigal is this ticket im about to write you" Rick said" i cant, theres people in the way" the cop said,"dont worry, they will move" so Rick revs the engine the people start moving aside, he pops the cluch, the car is going no where, there is no smoke because there is so much heat that the rubber vaporizes, the tires are spinning like crazy, and the whole time the cop is going :righton::awesome::righton:
