Megiures

one awesome company owning another! unlike AT&T & T-Mobile.

This is how huge packages are derived for the top 2% of the company being taken over. This is very common in the corporate world today but generally has disastrous consequences for the employees of the company taken over..:nomore:

:iagree: Usually top management is kept and cut backs are done at the expense of workers. Streamlining only happens on the bottom.

Do the packages indicate 3M ownership? Or is it hidden from the consumer?

Don't have a package nearby to check, but it seems like 3M is running Meguiars as a totally independent company making their own decisions. Probably because Meguiars was already associated with consumer where 3m is more an industrial distributor (IMO).

You'd be surprised who actually owns some of your favorite brands. I wouldn't worry about this one.

It may well be running it as an independent operation. But any major decision is reviewed at the top. I am pretty sure that any new chemistry will come thru 3M research. Look at 105 and 205.

Any packages that I have from Megiures do not mention 3M.

I think, if I remember correctly from reading the announcement Megiures is run as a separate company.
