Please tell me about this product. I know they stopped making it, and its rare.
What made it so good? was it a glaze or LSP wax?

And:
When did they stop making it?
What did they replace it with?
What was the orginal price before they killed it?
 
They still make it, i can buy it here in Norway (europe too i think)

Easy on Easy off, great shine/looks on it, i used it as a LSP wax

But now i prefer Pinnacle LS instead.
 
yeah we have it in england too

its a good looking wax that lasts well...its nothing amazing, id suggest you get collinite 476 instead if its not available there , theyre very similar
 
It's just a carnauba wax. Its suppose to be the best one Meg's makes according to some. Its also suppose to be pretty durable. They haven't stopped making it, it just isn't sold here in the US anymore because of VOC regulations. You can still get it though through some online vendors in Canada and such. According to some threads I've read some people really love this stuff. It is also not expesive its just that now you have to pay more for shipping that before.

Nevermind, I found some for about $30 shipped from Canada. Is this stuff really worth the hype? Right now I have the following in my arsenal:

Pinnacle Souveran
Pinnacle SS2
Petes 53
CG 5050
Mother's Pure Carnuaba
 
I have two tubs (my brother lives in England he sent me some) and I really like the stuff. It's easy on, easy off and it lasts FOREVER. Incredible beading as well.

Megs #16 is now a rarity here in the US..people seem to want whats no longer available..with the wax collection you already have..i would say you don't need it..but do you want it ;)

The wax you have now are all a better looking wax...but the 16 will last longer than the ones you have...16 looks good..but not as good as Sov..Petes...50/50...Sig..

16 is wanted now cause its gone from the US...when it was here you did not hear raves about it...it was just a good durable wax...I have a few cans my self and see nothing GREAT about it...got them when they were blowing them out at the Dist.

if you want a good looking wax and durable..spend it on Collinite 915...better than 16 in my eyes....

Hmm Im going to Europe in a couple of weeks, maybe I should pick some up. But with the exchange rate as it is now, it might cost me more haha

you might want to check Ebay..some of the tins were $25 to $40..i'm not sure if shipping was included
 
Megs #16 is very durable wax. It cost $12.95-14.99 before they stopped selling it in U.S.
You can still get it from overseas (England). It will cost you $30 a tin shipped.
I personally think it's not really worth $30, and a perfect alternative would be Collinite #476S. Lasts just as long (if not longer), easier application, cost less, and is available here, at U.S.
 
I have one can of 16, smells like bad crayons. Right now i'm just testing the durability. I've only used it on my own car since it's a daily driver and a nice lab hamster for the wax :p. My car's a light color so I can't comment about it on darks.
 
I've order a can of #16 and I'll be using it on people that want durability. It’s available here in Canada google eshine (hope that doesn’t get me in trouble) the price is not to bad either. I'm curious to see what it will look like but one thing I'm starting to see is that the wax is like the cherry to the cake. It's the polishing that will make the vehicle look perfect, the wax is just the protection. Well that's just me though.
 
#16 is okay stuff...the other waxes you have imo are far better...#16 is like when an artist dies...it's was nothing special when it was around....but only became popular when gone...
 
I personally use it on the areas on my truck where I need a bit more durability and where I'm not overly concerned about looks. Like the front and rear bumper and the lower parts of the cab and bed.

I've been very pleased with it so far and am happy that I have two tins in my posession!!!

What made it great is 1) it gave white cars a very nice "glow" to them. 2) When it was avilable or still able to find it online quit easaly it was hard to beat for the price. Collinite is a great replacement but at the time #16 was $15 which made it great. In it's original price form it was the best bang for the buck you could get. What's funny is that most of these new and improved long lasting sealants get killed by a wax designed and unchanged since 1952 for $10-$15 lmao.
