Picked up some last week and used it on 2 details over the weekend and must admit I was pleasantly suprised (in a positive way).

I used an orange pad followed by a white on my flex and topped it with Menzerna power lock and it did plenty of correction and did it rather quick. If this product is not in your arsenal I highly recommend it.

Kind of defeats the purpose of 151 with those 3 steps?

Yeah why not just use a polish pad with it and call it a day on the cheaper details. That's what I was looking into 151 for.

Not at all..no dusting, do not have to rewash the car before sealant. Plus the white was a means of removing residue.

You can call it 3 steps but the white was to remove residue and the sealant is cause the "wax" in 151 is not known for superior protection

but u really want to put a sealant down 1st then a wax if u choose to .

u basically did a 3 step, and u could have achieved greater results by doing that traditionally . 1st step major defect removal , 2nd step polishing , 3rd sealant

I don't worry too much about D151's function as being ONLY a true one-step product.
Why...Even AGO's D151 product application procedures say:

1. Choose the appropriate pad for your goals. Set a rotary polisher to 1400-2000 RPM. Set a dual action polisher to 4-5.
2. Work the polish in a 2 x 2 sq. ft. area with overlapping passes. Continue working until imperfections are removed.
3. Wipe off the residue with a soft Microfiber Towel.
4. For even more gloss, perform the same steps using a softer foam pad.

Don't know how much, if any "wax" D151 contains...
But I infer from it having Poly(dimethsiloxane):
That it's more of a Sealant-AIO, than anything else.
