So which do you prefer for a final wipe? I typically don't like a wax in my final wipe but if Xpress is that good I might got for it

X-press is a nice product....BUT...I do find it attracts dust.

M135 is probably my favorite of the three on your list. I really like the scent and the gloss it delivers once the product sets. The only issue I have encountered is the gallon size (both gallons from AG) had some sort of sediment that had to be filtered (I use coffee filters) before transferring to a sprayer.

What kind of sprayers do you use? The Tolco Chemical Resistant Sprayers have a filter on the bottom of the hose.

This oddity is that of blended plumber's tape... My gallons are full of 'em. Weird stuff. I've heard some experienced similar issues with the OTC version; clogged sprayers. Not sure if the issue's been dealt with, never tried the bottle.

Cruz - If this is for your own vehicles, you might want to try Prima Hydro Wax As You Dry. An impressive product & very easy to use. It yields a warmer shine rather than the plastic reflection, even though it's a synthetic product. Has a pleasant tropical scent to boot. A bit expensive, but worth the consideration. Another good OTC alternative would be Eagle1 Wax As U Dry.

If this is for customers, then yeah, you can't beat the instant shine, ease of application, and price from X-press. This and Aquawax would make customers (and your wallet) happy.

I currently use final and have for about 6 months on customer cars. It has worked the best so far with the heat I live in but see Xpress brought up alot so wanted to see what other compare

megs x-press spray wax adds a little protection (at least till the next wash) and can be used on glass, trim, paint, etc,. the other two products (QD) have cleaners in them where as x-press spray wax does not. not to mention IME it's easy to use as well. i love the consumer version (UQW) and this is basically the same thing but offered in the detailer/pro line. btw, duragloss aquawax is awesome too!

while i don't agree with him on everything (not particularly in these videos) he brings up some good points about this product...

I'd like to hear from people who've used both Last Touch and D156 on which product leaves the paint looking better/glossier.

i've used a few gallons of last touch (years ago) and it works well on the cleaning aspect but doesn't really leave a slick finish. uqw/x-press spray wax (currently have a gallon) leaves a slicker/glossier finish and looks (also has hydrophobic properties) even better the next day. there are other products (fk425/oid) that work better in which i decided not to purchase LT it again.

you can dilute this to a QD and it will add some protection (aquawax) as well. duragloss products are under-rated...

Thanks. I've only used Last Touch once. It was at the Meguiars garage to wipe off some polish residue that a friend was having a hard time wiping off. I grabbed the bottle of Last Touch, sprayed the panel lightly and it wiped off so easily and smooth both of us just looked at each other and said "damn that worked great"! Lol. I was impressed, but I still have yet to buy some for myself.

I've used both and D156 is a much better product. Can be used as a drying aid and a lsp. It has gloss, slick feel and decent longevity. That's hey I buy it by the gallon.

Last touch leaves the paint MUCH glossier and slicker. That is what it was designed to do and i honestly have never used another detail spray or spray wax that can compare. It may not add protection like d156 but when it comes to appearance and gloss. It is unrivaled IMO

In regard to a comparison between Last Touch and D156, I use both frequently. Last Touch outperforms D156 in every realistic application on which I've tested. D156 is good, but darker colored vehicles show way too many streaks that the product leaves. 90% of my customers have black or very dark paintwork, so D156, even when diluted 1:1 with distilled water, smears and streaks too much. I still use D156 on glass and exterior trim, but not much else. Last Touch, on the other hand, leaves no discernable streaks (when diluted 1:1) and only imparts little "dots" on the surface if it is not buffed off before it dries, but all liquid chemical products seem to do this.

One area in which they both excel is their smell. One's olfactory system will be pleased by either product. :)

On a note related to smearing and streaking, I normally have to over dilute products to ensure a vehicle's finish is as free from residue as possible, and so I only experience a "watered down" version of the products' effect(s).

Here's a "trick" answer: Last Touch is glossier, but D156 stays glossy longer.

Legit statement. The product literally states its position: Last touch prior to delivery. Last counted, I went through 8 gallons of the stuff.

BTW, have you noticed it's a little on the oily side? The buildup tend to be on the gooey side comes clean up time. This and FK425.

D156, even when diluted 1:1 with distilled water, smears and streaks too much.

I don't think it stores well. Some gallon yields spectacular results; ease of application in a wide range of temperatures, another a complete dud. The current gallon I have behaves like skim milk. No shine, nothing. White water. Don't know why I'm holding on to it (probably being a cheapskate). I don't want to say "quality control." I'm thinking the product is simply finicky how it is stored.

Thanks guys, you've convinced me. I'm going to get a gallon of D155 soon.👍🏽

I think I'm going to like it because I'm looking for a specific product for a final wipe, post wash. I prefer spraying onto a dry surface as opposed to using it as a drying aid. I'm looking forward to using it full strength.
As far as claylube I use D114@1:128.

I never liked Last Touch. I used it sometime ago as a clay lubricant but found that once I had wiped it off in preparation for taping prior to polishing the tape wouldn't adhere to the trim very well where there was LT overspray/run off.

On the other hand I used D156 for the first time this weekend. I used it as a drying aid and boy did it make the black metallic paint shine! I love the stuff and I didn't have any streaking issues like some others had. In my experience it was extremely user friendly!

If I may add my $0.02 even though the Last touch seems to be the product for you.

I love my D156 personally. It aids in lubrication, I never have streak issues personally that too on my dark coloured car, its Hyrdrophobic properties are great, the gloss and slickness are the cherry on top. I feel it might be little smeary if applied heavy though, and even when completely buffed off, a couple of times I have felt a oily, smeary texture on my paint, and when touched I can tell something is applied. So don't over apply and you will not face issues. You get the hang of it after the first couple times I think. You could water it down, but I am not sure of how it would work, its performance might degrade and all that. I personally use it neat.

Last touch may be great, but I am unsure about any protection or gloss levels lasting as long as D156.

D156 goes on everything for me, plastics, glass, paint you name it. I applied it during our March rains and the water just flew off my windshield while driving above 40-50kph. Amazing product IMHO. Lasts quite long too.

Last touch also sounds good if you want it as a drying aid due to lubricity but I personally am not convinced of it.

Keep in mind, you said you dont want something with protection, so LT might just be perfect for your needs.
