Megs vs LC backing plates?

I'm about to get a 5" backing plate for a GG DA and didn't know if there was any real difference between Megs/LC BP's. I don't expect to be getting the Megs MF pads any time soon but that would be the one thing that might make me lean toward the Megs plate. Any thoughts?

Megs b/plates are all top quality except the 3" one.

I used 5" Megs plate for many cars corrected in the past on my DA without any problems. Recommended.
