Hey Mike!, I have question for you on the WB. What stores are you able to buy this product at? Also Ive read the intstructions that its made for clear coated wheels but not for polished aluminum. Now my Audi has polished aluminum alloy wheels, but I was told and have heard that my wheels are CC'ed. I only plan on using it diluted inside the inner wheel to get some baked on dusk and tar.

Meguiars Wheel Brightener is a professional grade wheel cleaner for factory coated wheels! Meguiars wheel cleaner and brightener makes coated wheels

I believe its only sold by the gallon. I would ask, do you really need an acid based wheel cleaner and something so strong ?? Will you be using it often ???

If wheels are clearcoated and using inside on barrels try the Poorboys Spray/Rinse product. Follow directions well. You can always use P21S or DP Wheel Gel and Daytona Brush to agitate if more frequent in use. Consider pulling wheels and using Klasse AIO which removes tar and protects too.

Just a couple thoughts ...

You make a good point Scott. I'd say I only planned on using WB maybe 2-3 times a year if that. Even though the outside of my wheels are smooth, the inner barrels are filled with these micro ridges from where the barrel was cut out(i think lol). The tiny little groves seem to hold tar and dust like no other and i can never get that super clean look or feel.

However, im glad you brought up those other products because the tar is what gets me the most. Its left over from the balance weights and who knows what else. The previous owner didnt care much for the wheels so now its my turn to revive them haha

I think im going to look into Klasse AIO. I know you guy have it hear, but any auto stores that it may be sold in?

I don't think I would ever use WB on my personal wheels. I use that strictly for production cars!

i think i may have underestimated the strength of WB hahaha.

If you're looking for a stronger cleaner why not try for Meguiar's Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner or Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner? They're not as aggressive as WB, but they're safe and effective. You might even be able to find them locally - I believe my local O'Reilly Auto Parts store carries both of them.
